Temby Vintage Custom Shop Handcrafted Alto Saxophone

This is a one off piece of handcrafted saxophone art by David Temby. Note the intricate floral work on the bell and neck. This saxophone also features Kangaroo leather pads (Roo Pads) with custom oversize resonators, Temby's "Ultra Keywork", Carbon steel springs, roller octave mechanism and hand selected matching Western Australia mother of pearl key touches. This beautiful instrument has a rich and dark sound with plenty of quick response and immense room filling volume. It's key action is light, fast, solid and accurate. David would be happy to make another similar instrument - similar but not identical as each one is handcrafted as a unique piece. Pictured here is amazing 16 year old saxophonist Julian Palma from Queensland, Australia

Enhanced Springs

We normally use stainless springs on our standard saxophone keywork. This minimises any chance of rust, has a solid feel and retains spring and keywork tensioning indefinitely. For those wanting a lighter and closer to fingertip feel we can custom fit our revised rate Custom Blue Steel Needle Springs.

A Final Note

Mother of Pearl Keys

Black Keywork

We searched the world and look what we found in our own back yard...

From the worlds largest pearl source, between Broome WA. and the Torres Straits, we hand pick the finest mother of pearl shell. The shells are cut to our keywork sizes and then hand finished. Our pearls make our keywork feel at one with your hand.
