Saxophone Keywork

Keywork Overview

The stronger the metal, the better the workmanship and engineering the more robust, long term reliable and secure the keywork will be.

From various cheaper or more expensive ways to manufacture metal into key parts we decided that the only way to produce the best quality was to do what the finest quality European manufacturers do - forget weak and soft key parts made by diecasting (pouring molten metal into moulds), forget sheets of metal shaped over moulds to form parts where load points cannot easily be reinforced.

The Body

After all our testing we found something which we feel is probably unique. We found that by using Japanese metals and graduating the thickness of the body and the body chamber at certain points we could achieve the required result.
